It is. It’s been 2 years. A lot have been happening, a lot have been said and done, a lot have been learned and a lot of things have been cursed or cared for.

Now it comes the time to think what to do after. Options are already laid out before me. Choosing is the only option.

Another new year, another resolution to make

A friend asked me, were your resolutions for last year mostly being or having something. After looking back to the 8 points I made for last year’s resolutions, most of them were doing something(s). I don’t know what are the significances of being, having or doing. Resolutions for me are tools to track what we want to achieve. They can change as the year goes by, it doesn’t matter. Resolutions can become the drive for your daily activities, to remind you that there are things that are important to you.

All in all, I can say that I achieved a good 90% of all the resolutions I made last year. With minor losses only. Bisa karena resolusinya tidak terlalu ambisius atau memang tahun ini tahun keberuntungan gue, hehe. Now, I already have some things in mind that I want to list as this year’s resolutions. But I still need to work on the list, though. They would be posted in the next post

This is soo me, ahahah. When I decide that no more staring at the computer screen for the day, somehow back home I automatically turn on the laptop. Sometimes with no reason. These guys at Phd Comics are scarily true everytime

What a relief! Finally one big task has been overcame. I did my thesis defense last Monday, and it went quite well.

Just been pausing for a few days to regain some mental strength to do the revisions

Ordered the book last week, and arrived just yesterday. Excited to finally have the chance to read it, been told that it’s a good book. Will tell you what i think after I’m done reading it (which I am not exactly sure when ).

Read an article in an online newspaper today. The house of representative in a province in Indonesia is proposing a law that allows stoning to punish those who are convicted of adultery.

I mean, what?? Stoning?? Isn’t that so last centuries?

I’d definitely beg to oppose.

Yang ditunggu-tunggu telah tiba. Setelah penantian sekian lama, akhirnya datang juga kabar yang dinanti-nanti. Got an e-mail from the editor of Desalination, a respected journal within Science Direct. The e-mail is attaching an unproof version of the paper I wrote together with Liu and Prof. Kim. They basically said that I just need to do a proof-read, approve and send the attached files back to them and it would be ready to be published soon.

Yippiee!! A published paper on Science Direct. One more resolution is gonna be accomplished.
